Purpose:

The proposed Bolton Road parking scheme, aimed at providing parking for local residents, forms part of a package of proposed highway measures, which has been promoted and largely funded by Chorley Borough Council (CBC) with a £10,000 contribution from Lancashire County Council (LCC). An informal public consultation has recently been undertaken and other than concerns regarding several aspects, no objections to the overall scheme have been received. The funding element as well as other proposed highway measures in the package were previously reported and subsequently approved by the Cabinet Member on the 21st March 2017.

 

Decision:

County Councillor John Fillis, the Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport approved the proposal and related formal consultation of the Bolton Road Parking scheme as described in this report and plan drawings in Appendix 'A'.
