The report sets out a proposal in respect of the council's e-Recruitment system contract which is due to expire on 31 January 2019.

This decision should be implemented immediately for the purposes of Standing Order C29 as any delay could adversely affect the execution of the County Council's responsibilities. The reasons for this is to enable the necessary arrangements to be made to ensure the continued operation of the e-Recruitment system.

The full report is not available for publication as it contains exempt information as defined in Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act, 1972. The report contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information). It is considered that in all the circumstances of the case the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

The Leader of the county council approved the recommendation as set out in the full report.

This decision is urgent and cannot await the next meeting of Cabinet on 9th August 2018. The reason for this is to enable the necessary arrangements to be made to ensure the continued operation of the e-Recruitment system.  This decision is therefore being taken on behalf of Cabinet by the Leader of the council in accordance with the provisions of Standing Order C28(1).
