Consideration of the recommendations of the Edward Stocks Massey Bequest Fund Joint Advisory Committee.

County Councillor Tony Martin, the Cabinet Member for Adult and Community Services, County Councillor Matthew Tomlinson, the Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Schools and County Councillor Marcus Johnstone, the Cabinet Member for Environment, Planning and Cultural Services approved the recommendations of the Joint Advisory Committee from its meeting on 27 June 2014 as set out below:

(i)  The following allocation of funds in 2014/2015

Burnley Borough Council details set out at Appendix 'A'      15,500

Lancashire County Councildetails set out at Appendix 'B'      15,500

Burnley Mechanics Trust Allocation details set out at Appendix 'C'    5,000

Individuals and Voluntary Organisations details set out at Appendix 'D'  8,000

Higher Education Student Support Scholarship Awards      7,000

  Total  51,000

(ii)  in respect of the Higher Education Student Scholarship Awards, the interview panel of the Joint Advisory Committee be authorised to award the scholarships at its meeting on 19 December 2014.
