Purpose:

This report recommends revisions to the tendered bus service is Chorley West to maintain public transport service provision in Charnock Richard.

Decision:

County Councillor John Fillis, the Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport:

 

(i)  Approved the proposed revisions to the tendered bus service 347 as set out at Appendix 'A'; and

 

(ii)  Requested that officers undertake the necessary contract variation process to allow the service revisions to commence at the earliest opportunity.

 

This decision should be implemented immediately for the purposes of Standing Order 34(3) as any delay could adversely affect the execution of the County Council's responsibilities. The reason for this is to ensure that the bus service provision is maintained for the village of Charnock Richard.
