County Councillor Geoff Driver, The Leader of the County Council rejected a Local Member Grant to Mid Lancashire Colts Junior Football League for a contribution towards the cost of league equipment for their members, including corner flags and posts, footballs, respect barriers, manager coats and referee t-shirts.
The reason for the rejection is County Councillor Driver is not happy to support cross-district applications as in his view, he feels it would be more appropriate for the individual teams involved to apply to their own County Councillor.
