This report sets out the actions proposed to be delivered arising from two recent findings of fault by the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman in relation to failures to provide "reasonable adjustments" for Deaf and disabled people as required under the Equality Act 2010.


The Cabinet approved the recommendations as set out in the report, with the addition of the following recommendation:


(iii)That a further action be added to provide training for Committee Chairs and other councillors on the Equality Act and the requirement to provide reasonable adjustments.
