Purpose:

The committee has requested regular updates on the level of salary overpayments, and the steps being taken to reduce the amounts to be recovered.

This report summarises the position in regards to the volume and value of salary overpayments between 2019/2020 to the end of September 2024.

Decisions:

It is considered that in all the circumstances of the case the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.)

 

Noel O'Neill, Director of Finance and Commerce presented a private and confidential update on the overpayment of salaries.

 

It was requested that further information about the recovery of overpayments be provided after the meeting.
