Decision status: For Determination

This report references administration matters,
including performance, service level agreement (SLA) metrics,
monthly data return progress and updates on communications and the
retirement action plan.
(Exempt information as defined in Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972. It was considered that in all the circumstances of the case the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information).
The Board considered a report on various pension administration matters and Ms Darbyshire, Managing Director of Local Pensions Partnership Administration Ltd, answered questions from Board members on the following:
· An increase in appeals resulting from the requirement for matters to be taken through an appeal process before referral to the Ombudsman.
· Employer performance and the engagement with employers ahead of the Valuation.
· Key administration performance data for the last 6 months particularly regarding bereavements and complaints.
· Implementation of the McCloud requirements.
Resolved: Having considered the report, the Board noted:
1. the provision of Service Level Agreement performance data in the report, including a 6-month average as requested at the previous meeting.
2. the improved employer performance in relation to monthly employer data submission.
3. the activity undertaken in respect of appeals, including the 'tidy up' of outstanding cases.
