Exclusion of the Press and Public The Sub Committee is asked to consider whether, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972, it considers that the press and public should be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that there would be a likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the appropriate paragraph of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act, 1972, as indicated against the heading to the item. Minutes: Resolved: That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item of business on the grounds that there would be a likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act, 1972.

Independent Investment Adviser - Interview Minutes: Exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972. It was considered that in all the circumstances of the case the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information.
In accordance with the decision taken on 10th May 2024 the Sub Committee, supported by the Head of Fund and Mr Lane, Investment Consultant from the Fund's Actuary, interviewed a single shortlisted candidate in line with the process/timings agreed on 29th April 2024. Having completed the interview the Sub Committee reviewed all the information presented by the five candidates interviewed together with the associated scoring and unanimously agreed that Candidate 4 be appointed to fill the vacancy.
Resolved:
1. That, in accordance with the decision of the Pension Fund Committee on 8th March 2024, the Sub-Committee agree to appoint Candidate 4 as an Independent Investment Adviser to the Lancashire County Pension Fund, for an initial period of 2 years with an option to extend for a further year, subject to approval by the Committee.
2. That the appointment be reported to the Pension Fund Committee on 14th June 2024.
