The Cabinet comprises up to ten Members
including the Leader and the Deputy Leader of the Council. Within
the budgetary and policy frameworks set by the Full Council, the
Cabinet is responsible for carrying out almost all of the Council's
functions in delivering services to the community; mainly Education
and Cultural Services, Social Services, Highways and
Transportation, Economic Development, Planning and the Environment,
Health and Wellbeing, and Public Protection. Further information
