Colne, Pendle - Safer, Greener, Healthier, Streets Project

reconsider the proposed changes planned for Queen Street, Colne, Pendle.

We the residents and road users of Queen Street do not agree that the proposed changes will improve the traffic flow and safety of pedestrians and feel that the new proposals will in fact cause more congestion on Queen Street and surrounding streets. The loss of parking will impact all residents and church users, especially the elderly. It will also have an impact on local businesses whose customers park on Queen Street.

We agree that changes need to be made to the junction at the bottom of Queen Street. We think the best way to do this would be to make the road on the North valley one way to the lights at Lord Street and also make it safer for pedestrians crossing, especially the children attending Lord Street school as they would no longer need to look in three different directions when crossing the road.
