The primary purpose of the Clearway Order for
the B5410 Lytham St Annes Way is in accordance with the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984. It is to avoid danger to persons or
other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing
the likelihood of any such danger arising. The B5410 Lytham St
Annes Way opened to traffic as a public highway on the 28 June 2024
subject to a temporary clearway order. It is intended that this
Clearway Order will replace the temporary clearway order.
The secondary purpose of the Clearway and Parking Order is to
ensure that the parameters used in the design of the scheme are
aligned with all the necessary restrictions to ensure the safe
operation of the highway. This will also ensure that the primary
purpose is achieved.
