Following severe weather events in February 2020 the Highways Asset Management Team has been working to collate the damages caused by Storm Ciara and subsequently Storm Dennis. The damages have been categorised as:
· urgent (work required to prevent further deterioration that could cause road closures or community severance),
· priority (Works to be programmed in the next 6-12 months),
· work required (Remedial works to be programmed in the next 12-24 months)
The total estimated cost of repairs required due to the above storms is estimated at £4,709,385 (including £4,461,857 capital and £247,528 revenue costs).
Funding is required to undertake the urgent work that is required in the next 6 months with a value of £1,636,808.
