The Young People - Employment and Employability task group's final report was presented to the Scrutiny Committee at its meeting on 9 July 2010. It was resolved that the report be presented at a future meeting of the Cabinet (subsequently 4 November 2010).
(NB: the task group was established by the former Overview and Scrutiny Management Scrutiny at its meeting on 11 September 2009 at the request of the former Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee at is meeting on 8 September 2009. The original name for the task group was; 'The Support for NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training) in the Recession).
An Executive response was received by the Scrutiny Committee on 21 January 2011 whereupon it was resolved that a further report be presented in 12 months' time.
On 20 January 2012, the Scrutiny Committee received a further report. It was resolved that progress reports be received in six months' time on apprenticeships and in 12 months' time on the overall Youth Employment and Employability strategy.
