This report outlines a revised Direct Payments Policy for adults and children and young people and the requirements for a revised Direct Payments Policy following the introduction of the Care Act 2014 and Children and Families Act 2014. It is proposed that previously there were two separate policies for Adults (2013) and Children and Young People (2007) which have now been amalgamated and updated in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Children & Families Act 2014.
This is deemed to be a Key Decision and the provisions of Standing Order 25 have been complied with.
The Committee considered a report on a revised Direct Payments Policy for adults, and children and young people following the introduction of the Care Act 2014 and Children and Families Act 2014.
It was proposed to amalgamate and update the two existing policies for Adults (2013) and Children and Young People (2007) in line with the 2014 legislation.
Resolved: That the recommendations set out in the report to the Cabinet Member for Adult and Community Services and the Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Schools be noted, and that no additional comments or alternative recommendations be made.
