Decision Maker: Employment Committee

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Decisions:

(Exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act, 1972.  It was considered that in all the circumstances of the case the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information)

The Committee considered a report in relation to applications for voluntary redundancy submitted by the Executive Director for Adult Social Care, Health and Wellbeing, and the County Treasurer.

It was noted that, if approved, the application for voluntary redundancy from Executive Director for Adult Social Care, Health and Wellbeing would be effective from 30 April 2015.  If approved, the application for voluntary redundancy from the County Treasurer would be effective from 31 March 2016.

The Committee was informed that the dismissal of the County Treasurer would require the approval of the Full Council due to the postholder being the Council's S151 officer.

Resolved:

1.  That, subject to no objection being made to the Leader by any member of the Cabinet, the dismissal of the Executive Director for Adult Social Care, Health and Wellbeing on the basis of voluntary redundancy with effect from 30 April 2015 on the terms set out in the report, be agreed.

2.  That, subject to no objection being made to the Leader by any member of the Cabinet, the Full Council be recommended to agree to the dismissal of the County Treasurer on the basis of voluntary redundancy with effect from 31 March 2016 on the terms set out in the report.
