Purpose:
This report recommends revisions to the
tendered bus service network in Ribble Valley West to maintain
public transport service provision in Mellor.
Decision:
County Councillor John Fillis, the Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport:
(i) Approved the proposed revisions to the tendered bus service network in Ribble Valley as set out at Appendix 'A';
(ii) Requested that officers undertake the necessary contract variation process to allow the service revisions to commence at the earliest opportunity.
This decision should be implemented immediately for the purposes of Standing Order 34(3) as any delay could adversely affect the execution of the County Council's responsibilities. The reason for this is to ensure that the gap in public transport provision for the village of Mellor is minimised.
