Review of Tendered Bus Services in Wyre and Fylde

Decision Maker: Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Purpose:

This report recommends revisions to the tendered bus service network in Wyre and Fylde which will utilise a Section 106 funding contribution to extend the tendered bus service in the Amounderness Way area of Fleetwood and as a consequence also maintain a bus service link for Elswick and Great Eccleston.

Decision:

County Councillor John Fillis, the Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport:

(i)  Approved the proposed revisions to the tendered bus service network in Wyre and Fylde as set out in the report and at Appendix 'A';

(ii)  Requested that officers undertake the necessary contract variation process to allow the service revisions to commence on 20 February 2017.

This decision should be implemented immediately for the purposes of Standing Order 34(3) as any delay could adversely affect the execution of the County Council's responsibilities. The reason for this is to ensure that the revised tendered bus service network will commence on 20 February 2017.
