This report outlines the work of the District Youth Councils in their role in approving and awarding grant monies to individual young people to support learning and development; and their role in recommending grant monies to third sector groups who are registered with Lancashire Young People’s Service.

Please note amended decision:

County Councillor, Matthew Tomlinson, the Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Schools:

(i) approved the recommendations of the Youth Council on the following grant applications from third sector groups:

Burnley Bobcats

5^th Penwortham Guides

Leyland St Marys Youth Group

Chorley Sports Fitness Martial Arts Club

5^th Great Harwood Guides

Mix Media – Hyndburn

Mix Media – South Ribble

(ii) did not approve the recommendations of the Youth Council on the following grant applications from Third Sector groups:

Mix Media – Chorley

The Love and Etiquette Foundation

(iii) approved the recommendation of the Youth Councils on the applications made by individuals who have applied for grants over £250.00 set out at Appendix 'B'.
