Purpose:

The purpose of the report is to provide a further update on the Public Health commissioned services.  The report will request that approval is given to continue some of the current public health contractual obligations up to a maximum of 24 months from the 1st April 2014 to provide an opportunity to undertake a modernisation programme for public health services and the development of a comprehensive programme of work to commission integrated wellness services. Many of the contracts will be reviewed well within this time frame.

Decision:

County Councillor Azhar Ali, the Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing:

 

  i.  Approved that the current Public Health contracts be extended up to a maximum of 24 months from the 1st April 2014 as detailed in the report.

 

  ii.  Requested that the Deputy Leader of the County Council be asked to approve the waiver of Procurement Rule 6.2 so that the contracts can be awarded, and in doing so, give approval to continue the current Public Health contractual obligations detailed in the report up to a maximum of 24 months from the 1 April 2014.

 

Subject to the approval of recommendation (i) and (ii) above, the Deputy Leader of the County Council:

 

  iii.  approved the waiver of Procurement Rule 6.2 so that the contracts can be awarded, and in doing so, gave approval to continue the current Public Health contractual obligations detailed in the report up to a maximum of 24 months from the 1 April 2014.

 

This is deemed to be a Key Decision and Standing Order 25 has been complied with.
