Proposal to Restructure the Inclusion and Disability Support Service

Purpose:

This report sets out a proposed structure to improve the delivery of support to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

 

It is proposed to bring together six separate services to create the Inclusion and Disability Support Service -namely SEN Assessment, Educational Psychology Service, Early Years SEN Service, Lancashire Education and Inclusion Service, Strategy and Inclusion and Children with Disabilities Social Care. 

 

 

Decision:

County Councillor Susie Charles, the Cabinet Member for Children and Schools:

 

(i)  approved the restructure of the Inclusion and Disability Support Service as detailed in the report;


Following agreement of recommendation (i), County Councillor Geoff Driver, the Leader of the County Council:

 

(ii)  approved the disestablishment/establishment of posts as set out at in the report.
