People speed around the Grange Estate. People have nearly crashed head-on around the bend on Fir Trees Avenue because of the speed they are going. Kids also play on the street.

We do consider that physical traffic calming measures such as
road humps and chicanes, can be considered at sites where there is
a history of injury collisions which could have been prevented by
the presence of these types of feature.
We currently prioritise highway safety schemes at those sites which
have very poor casualty records. On the basis of the good accident
record on this residential estate, with no recorded incidents
involving speeding vehicles over the last 5 years, traffic calming
measures cannot be justified at this time.
As such, we would not support the introduction of new speed
bumps at present.
