Approval to Award Contracts for Care and Support Services in Lancashire Prisons

In line with the Care Act 2014, Lancashire County Council is responsible for delivering social care in prisons. Earlier this year the County Council entered into a partnership with NHS England to conduct a joint procurement exercise (led by NHS England) and this report sets out the results of this procurement. This report is seeking approval to enter into a section 75 agreement with NHS England to establish these services and following the procurement to approve the social care provision being included in the contracts to be awarded.
