Purpose:
Within the March 2021 budget, government announced the creation of a new Community Renewal Fund to be delivered in the 2021/22 financial year as a forerunner to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the national replacement for European Structural and Investment Funds.
This report seeks approval to submit to Government a Community Renewal Fund Bid for a number of projects within Lancashire.
Decision:
The Leader of the County Council and the Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Growth approved the recommendations as set out in the report.
This decision should be implemented immediately for the purposes of Standing Order C29 as any delay could adversely affect the execution of the county council's responsibilities. The reason for this is set out in the report.
