Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Sufficiency Strategy Implementation - Increase in the Number of Special School Places

This report provides an overview of proposals to expand and increase the number of places at three different special schools in Lancashire. Final approval is being sought to expand and increase the number of school places at Thornton Cleveleys Red Marsh School: Willow Campus and Lostock Hall Moor Hey School, following the formal consultation processes. A summary of the outcomes of these consultations is provided within the report.

 

The report also provides information about a proposal to expand and increase the number of pupil places at Kingsbury Primary School, Skelmersdale. This is the first time a proposal to expand this school has been put forward for consideration by Cabinet, and approval is therefore being sought to initiate feasibility studies and the informal consultation process.. 

 

This is deemed to be a Key Decision and the provisions of Standing Order C19 have been complied with.
